The 23-mile stretch of the Outer Banks south of the Virginia state line was, until about 30 years ago, a rural outpost untouched except by winds, blue herons and wild horses. As late as 1972, one telephone served the entire area and families placed weekly food orders with the postmaster, who ran a tiny general store in his house. Those who did visit Corolla (pronounced "ka-RAH-la") traveled on the beach at low tide.Today, Corolla is a full-fledged resort with shopping, restaurants, a movie theater and rental properties. Despite exponential growth and the influx of 250,000 visitors each summer, the area remains one of the most tranquil on the Banks. Getting there.......

You must have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access our beach house. In the Brindley Beach 2022 rental website, our house number is 4X1614. It is a 2006 constructed property by BD&A and our rentals are done through Brindley. Our home is in the wild horse esturary and is truely a unique area of the east coast. We hope you enjoy your stay and tell friends and family enough to return next season. You may have up to 2 dogs with your stay at our vacation home. This Semi-Oceanfront 4 BR/3.5 bath house can sleep between 10-12, and has spectacular ocean views for only being 4 lots from the ocean. We have over 1,327/sf of total decking on the top 2 floors, and you can even see the ocean from the 1st level deck. The night sky is very visible on a clear evening. This house is a Sunday through Sunday rental. Don't think it's too late to book your vacation already because when you click on the more info link from our home page it will take you to the Brindley Beach web page so you can see if the week you want is available for you and your family. You may also call Brindley Beach/Corolla at 877-642-3224 to to book your week or let them contact you for a week you would want. A tide chart handy in your truck/SUV is recommended. It is a truely unique vacation experience you are about to embark on with staying at our location. The interior is truely interesting with our chosen decor. It's not like other beach homes as you will see. The upstairs master bedroom ceiling will amaze you at night, for you will feel like your sleeping under the stars.

A few of the many amenities to enjoy in this home are the - private <optional heated> pool (26x11) with fenced in area, internet access, sun room, kitchen with everything you could ever need, fish cleaning station, and ships watch. We added a new water treatment system for our beach home in 2018. We have a 5 gallon fresh water dispenser as well. We have an Xbox, movies, telescope, plenty of games, books, and puzzles are available to keep your family entertained. In this time of social distancing, this is your perfect place to be. You and your family still need a vacation, especially after all we have been through these past few months. This unique four-wheel-drive home is a short easy walk across to our pristine Northern beaches (approximately 500 feet).
